| SSG President/Senior
Counsel Art Stewart will conduct
an IdeaLab for the Great Ideas national
conference of the American Society
of Association Executives (ASAE) and
the Center for Association Leadership at
the Disney Coronado Springs Hotel in
Orlando this December, and again at the
Sheraton Wild Horse Pass in Phoenix next
February. |
 |
| Art will co-present with Jamie Notter,
President of Notter Consulting, Gaithersburg,
MD, on "When Accountability Creates
Opportunity: Redefining Association Value." |
 |
| In the new post 9-11 reality, associations
are confronting challenges to their effectiveness
and their ability to sustain success. They
are being held more accountable for their
delivery of value across the spectrum of
stakeholders, from direct members to the
industry they represent and the constituencies
served by their members. |
 |
| Association leaders who want to capture
the emerging possibilities for growth and
sustainability are now looking to recast
their concept of value. They are reconstituting
their core mission, its supporting business
strategy, and the value deliverables that
stakeholders consider a good return on
investment. |
 |
| Art and Jamie's Great Ideas IdeaLab
will examine the market forces at play
in business, industry, the professions
and public policy in the context of how
they are changing the very nature of association-stakeholder
relationships. Participants will gain a
framework for discovering and delivering
a new concept of value, and how to link
external actions with the internal structures
and behaviors needed to bring about transformation. |
