April 2003 SSG President/Senior Counsel Art Stewart served as Moderator for the May 13th educational event of the Entrepreneurs' Forum of Greater Philadelphia, which was held at the Safeguard Scientifics building at Penn State Great Valley, Malvern. The program, "County Services Available to Start-ups," covered municipal, state and federal resources for small businesses and start-ups. A panel of leading experts discussed the intelligence, resources, legislative knowledge and capital connections available to business developers and entrepreneurs -- from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Community & Economic Development, and the Material and Equipment Loan Fund to the Philadelphia Industrial and Commercial Development Corporations. The panelists were Ray Malicki -- Chester County Client Manager for the Delaware Valley Industrial Resource Center; Missy Myers -- Assistant Executive Director for the Chester County Economic Development Council; and John Sammartino - Director of Small Business Programs for the Delaware County Commerce Center.
